Persian Gulf

The Persian Gulf is an extension of the Indian Ocean located between Iran (Persia) and the Arabian Peninsula. This inland sea of some 251,000 km² is connected to the Gulf of Oman in the east by the Strait of Hormuz.

To this date there have been no reported pirate attacks inside the Persian Gulf (West of the Strait of Hormuz) and currently GoAGT are the only PMSC with the capability of embarking and disembarking weapons and personnel in this area. The Persian Gulf is a primary shipping channel for oil tankers (around 30% of the world’s oil passes through here) making GoAGT uniquely placed to embark armed teams prior to entering the higher risk areas.
